Duties

Backup all company data daily via netvault on backup tapes

Restore information from backup tapes when required.

Register clients on website +- 15-20 clients that were logged during the course of the previous day. Ranging

between 120 and 220 per month.

Help clients with website problems and reset passwords telephonically.

Register clients and or send Forgotten Password via website telephonically.

Help Technicians with general tasks. ie) Occassional ordering, general support and query follow ups in

regards to the IT Department:

o If staff have lost their connection to h: & z:

o Assist staff with word documents ( merge codes, inserting symbols etc.)

o Assist staff with Excel docs & formulas

o Assist staff with Email send receive errors,

o Assist staff with mail that stays in out box,

o Assist staff with Insert of Signature(outlook)

o Forgotten login passwords

o Help user to put their intranet desktops back

Log work orders for Technicians in regards to work that has to be done.

Follow up on any voice messages in regards to Client Website registration or staff problems

Help staff with resetting passwords.

Increasing access rights for staff as per management email authorisation.

Setting up internet access/usernames and passwords for all staff.

Setting up of new users in BBL as per management email authorisation.

Print out and file all BBL Access requests.

Adding and removing new/old staff members from address list and placing files in correct folder for update

retrieval.

Help staff via SQL Query Analyser with system hanging.

Log 30-40 telephonically requested problems of staff per day.

Help telephonically, if unable to help, log under designated Technician.

Make sure all Library items ie) Laptops/projector is signed out and make sure they are back on the set date.

Once laptops are received, remove all unnecessary files, and transfer files required by user from laptop to

Helpdesk PC and email them the files. Update laptops with the latest Trend updates.

Run full system anti-virus scan on laptops once received updated.

Ie) Make sure Laptop is ready for next user – antivirus updated, battery charged and cables,mouse etc. are

there.

Help 3-7 resorts plus minus twice a day with email deletion off server due to either size of emails or spam.

Help resorts with general PC problems.

Any changes to Asset register ie) staff movements, new pc’s/printers/licences etc

Assist staff with all BBL Queries

Assist Mike with testing of BBL (all other bbl queries)

Creating & editing Headers & Footers in BBL for letters.

Assist user with setup and editing of standard letters in BBL

Edit & create all documentation for the Department:

o It Requirements New user form(editing)

o Courtesty Visit forms(created & editing)

o Machine Installation form ( Editing)

o Creating telephone contact list
