O BJECT DETECT ION AND AVOIDANCE BY ROBOT USING ULTRASON IC MET HOD
This is about the accident avoidance and the detection of the obstacle, to avoid accidents in day-to-day life. The three wheeled robot
is maintained to handle the weight of the power supply and the components. Zigbee connection is made between robot model and
PC for communication A LCD is provided to show the distance measurement sensed by the ultrasonic sensor.
APPL ICAT ION : Military purposes and Instrumentation.
T he PIC (Peripheral Interface Controller) 16F877 Microcontroller and Zigbee (IEE 802.15.4) RF Module is used.
M Y ROLE
The hardware part is the important role in my project. The hardware is divided into two parts i.e. PC in which the data is
passed through Zigbee with the help of MAX 232 (IC) and the other part is the robot. The designing of PCB is done. The relay
makes the robot to control the movement and the direction of rotation. T he PIC has four ports in which Port one and four is used for
p rogramming, Port two connected to LCD, Port three as the receiver and transmitter path of the signal. T he ultrasonic sensor uses
P IC 12C508 to perform control functions and standard 40 KHz piezo transducers.

I have presented a project “ GEOFENC ING USING EMBEDDED SYSTEM” i n KIT National Level
Symposium”THALES’12”.
In C ircuit Debugging Event, I had reached final with fifth position out of 30 groups.

Won second prize in Drama of Intra-college function connection with Annual day celebration.
