Manufacturing Tech III/Production Support Tech Optical Fiber and Cable,
Wilmington, NC (2008 - 2013)
Coordinated work with support groups and production teams to direct
equipment start-up, repair, troubleshooting, maintenance, process and
documentation changes. Worked with engineering department on projects.
Provided first level troubleshooting and repairs for 188 pieces of
equipment on rotation shifts.
Acted as a Shift Supervisor when the Shift Supervisor was on vacation.
Supported 19 employees and process ware flow for 188 pieces of equipment to
ensure the equipment didn't experience any down time.
Acted as the Team Leader for the OV department for 6 months during
transition of a Team Leader.
Trained and developed lead operators and new equipment and processes.
Set up an Excel spreadsheet for burner air/gas ratio for the lathe that cut

Daily operations responsibility coordinating work for operations for ware
flow in and out of the kilns, which included ordering, scheduling of the
ware, and supporting loading.
Contributed to the aDMIC - DN Kiln Validation Improvement Project, which
resulted in over $57M in savings. With a start-up of a 7 day loading
schedule for the ASRS, provided training,, documented the process and
implemented improvements to decrease turnaround times at Diesel Plant.
Performed data systems maintenance including Proficy Program, Ware
Management System, PeopleSoft Supply Chain and Excel worksheets.
Led Team of 35 operators for two years at Diesel Erwin Plant until a new
team leader could be found and trained.

Coordinated the day to day process support for extrusion, which included
data systems maintenance; run plans/run reviews; daily production
meetings; maintenance, process and documentation changes; laser gauge;
image analysis; and off hour support to troubleshoot the process.
Implemented the lather gauge in extrusion to improve overall selects by 25%
from the old manual gauges.
