Military Background
Meteorologist (1W071) - Investigate atmospheric phenomena and interpret
meteorological data, gathered by surface and air stations, satellites, and
radar to prepare reports and forecasts for public, deployed and other uses.
Produce weather analyses/forecasts for aircrews, ground forces, planners
and senior leaders at DOD locations worldwide. Utilizes weather tactics,
techniques, and procedures to integrate weather information into the
decision-making process at all levels to mitigate and exploit weather
