Duties performed include; assist the shift commander, complete shift schedules to ensure shift coverage
to include overtime and mandatory overtime, process leave requests as needed, conduct a meaningful
roll call including daily orders and announcements, conduct disciplinary interviews with correction officers
and other bargaining unit members, serve as managements representative during pre-disciplinary
conferences, evaluate correction officers, respond to emergencies as needed, direct staff and inmate
movement, instruct staff on correct procedures, make on-the-spot corrections as needed, arbitrate
disputes of staff and inmates, make rounds in living areas, special management housing, Inmate Health
Services and work areas to ensure compliance with policies and directives, address any issues that may
