Taught Biology, Honors Biology and College Biology (Program for Advanced College Credit, P.A.C.C. see
below) to freshmen through seniors. Responsibilities included curriculum development for each class in
the Science Department plus oversight of Science Department Faculty, in addition to teaching duties. 5
courses taught, students ranging from special needs to those matriculating at the finest Universities in
the Country. Evaluated faculty on pedagogy and knowledge. Developed prospectus for and led annual
Science Teacher Workshops funded by Chicago Public Schools (CPS) giving participating teachers
Continuing Professional Development Units. Coached Varsity football Offensive Line and was
Sophomore football Head Coach. Helped indoctrinate iPad usage school-wide and operated a
completely paper-less classroom.
Biology Faculty, Saint Mary’s University, Winona, MN, 2006-Present. Joint appointment with above. Taught
two sections of Human Biology/Lab B200/201 to qualifying students at Saint Patrick High School. These

1999. Conducted research on the progressive transneuronal degeneration of the central nervous system
following long-term dorsal rhizotomies in adult macaque monkeys. Stereological, microscopic and
histological methods were utilized, and research was funded by a National Institutes of Health (NIH)
award. Wrote articles published in peer-reviewed professional journals. Was a teacher-assistant for
Undergraduate Psychology courses and Neuroanatomy tutor to Graduate and Medical School students.
