WORKING EXPERIENCE
June – Aug. 2013
Genzyme Corporation, a Sanofi Company
Research Assistant Intern
Fully analyzed Pion µDISS Profiler™ in early discovery solubility determination as a supplement to
HPLC solubility results by using Gezyme in house compounds
Resolved the solubility problem with real time in situ results and created detailed protocols for
co-workers and presented final intern summary to senior managers at an Internal poster seminar
Participated in the assessment of pre-development candidate compounds and shortened two week
time for the team in preparation of technical protocols and reports
Created detailed data reports to share with team members and discussed future strategies at bi-weekly
progress meetings to ensure the direction of the whole project
Amaica’s Coffee & Wine House May – Aug. 2012
Project Manager
Assisted in negotiation with previous owner to purchase the restaurant and brand, cut the acquisition
cost from 2 to 1.8 Million Chinese Yuan
Re-evaluated market positioning and adjusted customer targets; Increased restaurant monthly sales
by 15% during the summer
RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
Northeastern University
Pharmacology and Drug Discovery Lab (Dr. Samuel John Gatley) May 2011 - Present
Collaborated between two labs in two departments to complete thesis project with innovated drug
formation and delivery system for targeting the biodistribution of iron nanoparticles
Conducted analysis of drugs loaded SPIONs using HPLC and illustrated that small amount
hydrophobic drug with high therapeutic potent can be fit to this formulation for specific drug
targeting such as Paclitaxel, Docetaxel, and Doxorubicin
Performed Indium-111, Carbon-14, and Iron-59 labeling DSPE-PEGylated SPIONs and evaluated
the extent to which these three components stay intact in vivo
Laboratory of IGERT Nanomedicine Feb. 2012 - April 2013
Optimized the formulation of Lipid-PEG coated SPIONs and identified SPIONs as MRI contrast
enhancement agent and can be used for long circulation of drug delivery systems
Measured size distribution and zeta potential of DTPA attached PEGylated SPIONs using Dynamic
light scattering and Transmission electron microscopy to check the stability of this formulation
