DUTIES: Under the direction of the AND or Nurse Manager, schedules staff
for assignment to nursing units utilizing interdepartmental and/or hospital
wide computerized scheduling systems. Maintains staffing files and reports
and prepares data related to staffing documentation. Prioritizes calls to
staff by ensuring staffing standards while maximizing cost effectiveness.
Enter staffing changes into the staff scheduling system. Reviews and
distributes daily staffing reports to appropriate Nurse Managers. Reprints
corrected staffing sheets weekly.
Provide assistance to Nurse Manager or ADN as needed. Monitor Overtime and
track attendance including call outs, vacation, sick and personal. Daily
scheduling of employees to meet the production needs of the organization.
KNOWLEDGE OF KRONOS & ANSOS for payrolls and Staffing Schedule. Attend
mini flow meetings and execute the plan to effectively reach daily queue
goals. Assist in the coordination of the floor to minimize downtime and
increase turnaround. Schedule RN'S, LPN'S, MHA'S, CNA'S, training.
Reconcile exception reports and communicate potential problems to managers
and supervisors. Provide supervisors and managers with timely, accurate
reports as established for the department

DUTIES: Accurately collects and enters all necessary information into the
hospital's computer system to expedite efficient data collection, billing
and hospital reimbursement. KNOWLODGE OF PARAGON, Ahiqa, Emdeon. Fills out
and signs/witness required forms and register/admit both
Inpatient/Outpatient/Emergency services, pre-admits, and registers manually
(written) when in downtime mode. Interviews patient and/family in
department, area of admission, or on telephone interpreting and explaining
as necessary, information required for the registration process, in an
accurate. Maintain patient safety by thoroughly searching the hospital's
Master Patient. Accurately search patient to prevent duplicate medical
record numbers and determines essential financial data such as, but not
limited to guarantor of account, primary, secondary or tertiary insurance,
and admission source, type and other key financial data. Maintain
compliance with federal, state and all requirements by completing all
essential forms in collaboration with the patient. Essential forms include
Financial consent, Medical consent, Psych Consent. Answering Phone, Typing,
Filling, Faxing, Data Entry, and Billing.
