MINERAL EXPLORATION:
. Supervising and guiding the officers who are carrying out Mineral
exploration in North Delhi Fold Belt in Mahendragarh district of
Haryana and Sikar District of Rajasthan
. Exploration work at Golwa and Gangutana copper prospects, district
Mahendragarh, Haryana
. Cement grade limestone in Titi / Pugli areas of district
Phunsholing, Bhutan from preliminary investigation to final stage
of investigation and simultaneously exploited by Bhutan Chemical
and Carbide limited having headquarter at Phunsoling,Bhutan.
. Chemical grade limestone investigation at Hauree Khola, district
Phunsholing, Bhutan from detail mapping to final stage of
investigation. This was also simultaneously exploited by Bhutan
Chemical and Carbide limited having headquarter at
Phunsoling,Bhutan.
. Detail mapping and core logging of 4th series boreholes during the
last phase of Gongkhola copper exploration in Black mountain area
of Central Himalayas in Bhutan during 1990-91.
. Ferrosilicon and ceramic grade quartzite investigation in Bayal and
Doiwala ki Dhani hills in Mahendragarh district, Haryana.
. Prepared prospective plan document for mineral search in Haryana.
. Resource survey of Dimensional stone in Mahendragarh and Bhiwani

. Management of field, drilling and chemical data of base metals and
non-ferrous metals their processing, compilation, interpretation

ENGINEERING GEOLOGY:
. Regional and large scale mapping of western Ghat tunnels between
Karjat- Lonavala section
. Prepared a detail report on stability of railway track embankment
problem between Londa - Hubli and Wardha -Balharshah sections in
central India.
. Carried out detailed geological mapping on the right bank of Satluj
river of Nathpa-Jhakri hydro project, district Kinnour, HP with
reference to possibility of geothermal water along the headrace
tunnel and their impact on tunnelling. The findings were
corroborated when geothermal water was encountered in the tunnel.
. Excavation of underground structures and their stability, landslide
studies and their protection works, construction of surface and
underground structuresbetween Kalka-Simla railway section, Himachal
Pradesh.
. Impact of Geothermal fluids on Salal Hydropower project, district
Riasi, J & K
. Carried out geological investigation for rail over road bridge on
Brahmaputra river at Tejpur, Arunachal Pradesh and bridge over
Godavari river at Rajahmundri, Andhra Pradesh.
. Large scale geological mapping for Tura hydropower project
including core logging of drill holes for foundation of dam
structure.
GEOCHEMICAL EXPLORATION AND MAPPING:
Geochemical exploration and mapping in toposheet no 54A/1 and few
toposheets of 53D covering parts of Mahendragarh, Rewari and
Gurgaon districts of Haryana and Alwar and Sikar districts of
Rajasthan under the National geochemical mapping Programme.
Geochemical mapping and its chemical data has been evaluated by
creating a multi-elemental data base of geochemical attributes in
order to establish the environmental base line which involve
mineral exploration agriculture and land use.
GEOTHERMAL EXPLORATION IN NW HIMALAYAS:
Carried out geothermal investigation from 1982-89 in Ladakh,
Kinnaur and Kulu districts of J &K and Himachal Pradesh
respectively are given below.
1. Puga and Chumathang valleys geothermal field of
district Ladhak, J & K.
2. Satluj and spiti valleys geothermal field, district
Kinnaur and Lahul-Spiti, Himachal Pradesh.
3. Beas and Parbati valleys geothermal field of district
kulu, H.P.
4. Tattapani-Mahogla geothermal field, district Riasi, J
& K.
Geothermal exploration to establish the geothermal system by
carrying out regional geological mapping, large scale geological
mapping and joint mapping of thermal manifested areas of the above
mentioned projects.
PUBLICATION
Technical papers on the above mentioned subjects in Indian
Minerals, Journal of Geological society of India and other
National symposiums organised by GSI and Universities have been
published.
