Training Bio
Mr. Reybitz is currently an Audit Specialist with Information Technology
(IT) Audits for the Pennsylvania Department of the Auditor General. He
received his B.A. in Political Science from Moravian College in 1991 with a
minor in Business Management. He began his career in state government with
the Pennsylvania Department of the Auditor General as a Public Assistance
investigator in October of 1993. Mr. Reybitz was named an Auditor General
Employee of the Month in December 1999. After spending three years as a
field investigator and nine years as a supervisor with the Bureau of Public
Assistance Audits, he was promoted to Audit Specialist and eventually
became the top state-wide manager and training coordinator for the Bureau.
Mr. Reybitz held that position until he transferred to IT Audits as an
Audit Specialist in 2010.
Mr. Reybitz's most noteworthy contribution to the Department to date has
been the creation, development and implementation of the Department's
Medicaid Audits that were released in 2010 for all of the commonwealth's
county assistance offices and found an average error rate of 15.5 percent.
The Auditor General has stated that a 10 percent reduction in the Medicaid
error rate would save the commonwealth $436 million in fiscal year 2011-12
and a projected $1.9 billion over the next four fiscal years.
Most recently, Mr. Reybitz was one of four recipients of the Certified
Government Financial Manager (CGFM) scholarships awarded in 2010 by the
Central PA chapter of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA). He
received his CGFM designation from the AGA on September 26, 2011. On
September 7, 2013 he took the exam for the Certified Information Systems
Auditor (CISA) professional certification from IASCA.
