To Whom It May Concern:
I have been in long term care since 17 years of age as a nursing assistant.
I have worked in every area, developing and growing in my career as:
CNA>LPN>RN>Manager>Wound Care Nurse>ADON>DON>Nurse Consultant.
During these years I have received my Wound Certification, MDS
certification, and CNA/CMT Instructor certification.
I have very good knowledge of State Regulations and a very proactive
positive approach in every situation.
I have been successful in establishing effective wound programs focusing
foremost on prevention. Along with wound programs, also successful fall
prevention, restraint elimination, weight loss prevention, and reduction of
medications.
I enjoy educating the Nursing staff in these areas as well as providing
personalized care plans for each individual Resident.
I am a proficient educator in the INTERACT 3 program to prevent returns to
hospital. As well as development of QAPI teams in each facility.
I am an advocate of culture change and Resident dignity and rights.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
