Title : Study on Behavior of an Confined Fiber Reinforced Concrete Prisms Under Monotonic

Loading

Brief : Detail study on the basic properties of concrete mix for M30 Grade concrete, to

experimentally test the relationship between Stress and Strain of confined concrete prisms under

monotonic loading and also a detailed analysis of the same using ANSYS application.

Methodology:

Prepare reinforcement cage by varying the lateral spacing as 150 mm c/c, 75 mm c/c.

Cast required number of prisms of size 150 150 300 mm with different percentage of volume

fractions like 0.5%,1%&1.5% of glass fibers.

Wrap the cast prisms by FRP using E-glass fiber like chopped mat and woven mat –single,

double layers and polyester resins.

Test experimentally the stress strain relationship behavior of the cast confined concrete prisms

under monotonic loading in a compression testing machine.
