Sales Engineer
Selected based upon engineering, Project Management and sales background to
be a member of the Business development team for a growth-oriented,
privately held investment firm focused on the industrial and technology
industries. Scope of responsibility included meeting with customer's
engineers, understanding the scope of the project, bidding on the project
and giving a technical presentation of the proposal, fielding questions and
closing the sale. Further responsibility was to follow the project from
inception to conclusion to assure the schedule was met and the customer was
satisfied. Furthermore, this included price re-negotiation as the scope of
work expanded, meeting project benchmarks.
. Member of the start-up team that began a Heat Exchanger energy Company
with-in Wei-Sheng Group serving the energy Industry. Products and
services included multiple fin-tube types, heat exchangers, boilers,
and H.R.S.G.s and hydronic services. Responsibility included
technical knowledge and presenting and qualifying the bid, scope of
work, technical understanding, equipment and contract negotiation.
During my tenure this earned Wei-Sheng $4 million dollars in sales.
. Developed strategic partnerships with energy industry leaders such as
Foster-Wheeler and ABB resulting in being a "Preferred Vendor" and
supplier status for these companies.
. Managed $15 million project in services to South Western Bell in Asia
to build out 350 Telecom tower and roof top sites and motivated a
sales team to generate $40 million in sales to the telecommunication
industry in Taiwan.
. Recommended the import of telecommunication towers to Taiwan versus
building locally that led to an exclusive agreement with USA Tower for
representation in Taiwan and an edge against the competition.
. Established a quality sales program targeting client needs, customer
reliability programs, and integration of engineering components to
handle changes in client specifications that drove company and revenue
growth.
. Built a client base comprised of high-end companies including DuPont,
Tyco, 3M, Siemens, Lucent, Kimberly Clark, Coca-Cola, Formosa
Plastics, and Caterpillar.
