PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
International Truck and Engine Co., Springfield, Ohio
Project Manager; Grade 7 (1999 - 2013)
Managed global construction projects in the United States, Mexico, Canada,
Australia, Brazil and South Africa.
Construction Projects:
. Generated a 36% increase in throughput by directing three major
programs at the Escobedo Assembly plant, totaling $258 Million and
building additions of 100,000 sq. ft., that allowed the line rate to
go from 55 to 75 units per shift.
. Managed the installation of a school bus line in an Air Force building
in Tulsa with a budget of $56 Million that was completed 7% under
budget.
. Built facilities in Australia and Brazil totaling $4.3 Million that
were both operational 2 weeks ahead of plan.
Strategic Development Projects:
. Developed over 100 strategic plans and scenarios to review the
viability, cost, risks and opportunities of strategic planning and new
product offerings.
. Was the Truck Groups expert and "go to" person for budgeting, facility
layouts, base process and time line plans.
Joint Venture (JV) Projects:
. Developed the timeline, budget and plan for the Ford JV and led the
implementation of all changes at the Escobedo facility.
. Developed the implementation plan and costs for the CAT JV.
. Aided in the facility design and process layout for the Mahindra &
Mahindra JV in India.
Maintenance Improvement Projects:
. Saved the company $2.8 Million year over year in lighting, fluids,
natural gas and compressed air costs by successfully leading upgrade
projects of equipment at our Escobedo, Chatham and Garland facilities.
Equipment Run-off and Validation Projects:
. Rebuilt, validated and qualified tire mounting and balancing equipment
for relocation to Texas
. Combined two fluid fill systems to save $750,000 in relocation costs
and two week line shutdown.
. Installed and trained Escobedo personnel on cooling water bypass
balancing valve for cab welding operations.
Process Improvement Projects:
. Added tubing cart to in-front of chassis to reduce Synflex tubing
waste saving $80,000 plus per year.
. Installed nitrogen gas generator for testing of hydraulic brake lines
for leaks to keep from introducing moisture into the brake system.
Generated ROI of less than six months via 70% reduction in "No Roll"
trucks.
Project Manager; Grade 6 (1997 - 1998)
Installed two new chassis assembly lines for Escobedo assembly plant, with
a combined budget of $32 Million.
. Brought project in $2.6Million or 8% under budget by developing 5 new
pieces of equipment that cost less, operated faster, and increased
throughput by 6 plus units per shift.
. Developed and tracked budgets and timelines for my portions of the
project
. Picked up the cab trim assembly line work when the PM was in the
hospital for surgery.
. Earned a promotion to Grade 7 at completion of the project.

. Supervised engine test with a budget of $15,000 per year for
maintenance work and upkeep.
. Cut maintenance cost 20% by purchasing electronic sensors and
computers for test cell operations

Value Engineering:
. Took 45 pounds out of a cast iron door by developing and testing a
fiberglass replacement
. Reduced engine testing costs by over $400 per engine by adding a micro
filter
. Netted $28,000 year over year by managing facility energy cost savings

Manufacturing

following field testing of a new clutched alternator drive that
