Client: State Government of Washington, Olympia, WA.
Project: Remediation of existing benefits services of the State in the field of health care. Encompasses eligibility
for benefits, Medicaid, medicare, health plans, cash assistanc e (TANF), etc.
Managing parts of the remediation effort necessitated by the Affordable Care Act, wherein parts of the benefits
services are being spun off to an independent entity. The department of social and health services is overhauling
its systems in a major way to prepare for providing health benefits services to citizens involving multiple
agencies. Project methodology is part Waterfall and part Agile. As member of PMO, managing risks and issues,
facilitation of communication with external stakeholders, coordinating among internal players, etc.
Facilitator and coordinator for Change Control Board. Contributed to CCB process flow definition. Revised the
change control plan.
Coordinator for scope management in each planned release, working closely with state’s release manager.

Headed a project to install a real time system to replace an existing transaction settlement program (securities
space) for a leading depository and asset management firm, Bank of New York Mellon, New York.
The system involved settlement of trades as they flow in from DTC (Depository Trust Company) if the trade of
buyer and seller matches, based on the data of securities held by BNYM in custody.
The project involves conversion of client profiles from old batch job system to new system without break in
service, archival solutions, replay functionalities, etc. on mainframe + Cobol platform.
Handling a team of 12 persons onsite and 20 persons offshore (peak team size), with project revenue of approx. $
2.5 million.
Analytics: simulation of client conversion and business analysis, data patt erns identification.
The role involved reporting to clients on weekly project governance parameters, resourcing, monitoring budget
for costs and time, ensuring deliverables, identifying dependencies, project risks, issues and proposing mitigations
for the same; SOW preparation.
Extensively used Excel, MS-Project, and Visio.

Developed solutions for a county (district) administr ation organization, including enterprise architecture, and
methodology for conversion of its existing database and applications from PowerBuilder to Dot -Net technology
platform. Created business proposal, by coordinating among 5 different vendor units and participated in bid

Program Manager, Patni Americas, Inc., New York, February 2008 – Sept. 2008
In charge of a key account Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, as Delivery Head, in charge of all
operations from on-site as well as offshore delivery for the identified client.
Handled business worth about $ 5 - 6 million per annum.
On site delivery staff of about 25 consultants. Resource management an important occupation.
Looked after software delivery for a line of business taking care of life annuities, individual life and
company/bank owned life related products. Also covers disability related products line of business.
Wrote proposals, responded to RFQ, negotiated contracts ; prepared SOWs based on master contract.
Managed a project to enhance the enterprise platform system bought by Guardian from Navisys and integrate it
with bespoke developed systems; managed end-to-end conception to design to construction to delivery for the
whole project.
Worked on HIPAA compliance and DSS project for creating enterprise systems to manage organization’s
documents.
Primary responsibility is to ensure smooth communication with Guardian IT management and Patni
onsite/offshore teams : analysis, documentation and communication of consistent and repeatable processes;

Managed total revenue up to $16m and approximately 25 direct reportees and 600 total staff.
Advised clients on the best alternatives for application design and application architecture.
Managed full-fledged testing contract for Pitney Bowes website involving full project life cycle. Wrote Use Cases,
test plans with users’ approval and tested the software effectively and provided development team with guidelines
which enhanced software. Achieved 5/5 in CSS rating for effort.
Led coordination among 6 vendors across various continents for testing project for MetLife. Project was so
successful that company awarded team increased responsibility for developmental projects by MetLife
International.
Managed a leading North American firm’s first experience with outsourcing. Carefully guided project through
challenges and managed cultural issues effectively.
Managed another major North American firm’s suite of products for release based maintenance, development and
integration. Scope covered change management, test plans, UAT, etc. Our project was so successful that company
increased business from $750K to $1.6m. CSS rating went from 3 .4 to 4.5 out of 5.
Directed five teams of project managers and ensured delivery of software services to specified clients, often in
collaboration with other business units.
Supervised complete software development and maintenance projects including requirements gathering, QA and
deployment, and monitoring, resource planning.

Headed IT department of a manufacturing conglomerate, also actively assisted the Finance function; participated
in the appraisal and marketing of IPO and FPO of the company. Nurtured and managed the HR dep artment for
this organization. Provided lead in Corporate Communication function.
Headed IT department of a retail gas utility company; designed and prepared IT strategy and Roadmap for this
company.
Strategic Projects
Managed set up of the Gandhinagar development center of Patni Computer Systems Ltd. complete with project
planning, resource mobilization, government liaisoning, physical facilities, recruitment, and operationalization.
During the audit for CMM L-4 in December 1999, KPMG auditors had made a special mention of how well and
fast the Gandhinagar center was seamlessly integrated into the Patni organization in terms of work culture and
processes.
Directed set up of the Bangalore development center of Patni Computer Systems including project planning,
physical facilities, IT infrastructure, recruitment, etc.
Led initiative to analyze and streamline operations for company’s employee transportation services.
Recommendation led to cost decrease of 30%.
VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
Identified and collaborated very closely with an NGO to provide relief in aftermath of terrible earthquake in
Gujarat. Outlined immediate relief and longer term goals and channeled resources and volunteer effort towards
achievement. Efforts resulted in 2 primary schools and adoption into government network, as well as company
wide recognition of extra-ordinary management.
