Project: CMS Reporting

Role: Senior Developer

CMS Reporting: Consolidated Mobile Solutions (CMS) is an asset and work

management system. CMS application works both in connected and disconnected

mode. It has more than 70 screen variants and a separate web portal for

administration purpose. Application has various administration reports and

transaction print reports. The project involved development and deployment

of SSRS reports. Some of the admin reports were scheduled in the SSRS

server in order to automatically generate and email to administrators for

business analysis.

Responsibilities:

. Actively participated in interactions with Business Team, End Users

and third-party vendor to fully understand the requirement of reports.

. Gathered user requirements, draft specs and developed SQL queries and

SSRS Reports.

. Designed and developed Drill-down, Drill through, Summary, Transaction

Print and Sub Reports using SSRS.

. Created an automated deployment package to automatically deploy

reports on 700 tough books which saved time and money.

Energy Management System: EMS project involved development, deployment and

integration of reports into web application. The system has various reports

on demand, supply and forecasting areas. Monthly Usage reports were

scheduled to generate on monthly basis and send it to administrators for

analysis. A landing page was created from where user can access and

generate the reports.

Responsibilities:

. Gathered requirements from business users and developed SQL stored

procedures and SSRS Reports.

. Managed very large reports that return a large volume of records and

optimized their performance using techniques like cascading parameters

Service Contractor Portal: Service Contractor Portal is web application

that standardized 3-Year Meter Inspection Process and platform for all

regions within client territory. This system has two SSIS packages that

extract data from Meter history (for 3 Year meter inspections) and CMA (for

meter less risers) databases and creates the records in SCP repository. The

administrator would assign the orders to employees/contractors to perform

and complete the inspection. The SCP application allows Contractors to

download orders in excel format. Once contractors complete the work, they

fill completion details and upload the excel work sheet using Order Upload

screen. The completed information is then sent to various systems viz.,

Mobility/MAD/MH/Click/Repository system to track compliance. Whereas Orders

assigned to employees are sent to Mobility system from where employees

would perform the task. The SCP system has 4 windows services that would

send orders to Mobility/MAD/MH/Click and Repository system. The system also

has various admin reports that connect various data sources and generate

reports.

Responsibilities:

. Prepared BRD document based on MOM received from onsite coordinator.

. Created various admin reports using SSRS that fetch the data from

various data sources and display a summary report.

impact analysis changes for the latest LOGICA product upgrade. The 'Gas

Request' and 'Contractor Portal' web applications are customized .NET

applications built over the LOGICA product as per the AGL business

requirements.

The Gas Request application is used by the AGL business users to carry

out routine business activities. The Contractor Portal application is

intended to provide a separate web interface for AGL contractors to enable

them to work on the assigned work requests, schedule the WR to their crew

members and upload the as built information in to the system.

enhancement and maintenance of the Work Management System (WMS).WMS uses

the Asset and Resource Management (ARM) product which is a suite of

integrated applications that help to manage work. The various applications

of this product help in initiating, scheduling and tracking the status of

the work. The system provides the features such as Scheduling tools for

better crew management and job status monitoring, mobile application for

field level data validation, etc. The system also has two wrapper web

applications which interact with the ARM product.

This enhancement and support project involves customization of the

product according to the changing business needs. It also involves

enhancing the features of the web applications which need requirement

gathering, impact analysis, design, build, testing, implementation and

support.
