Academic Projects
1.Junctionless Transistor (M.Tech)-
Junctionless transistors are variable resistors controlled by a gate electrode. All existing transistors are
based on the use of semiconductor junctions. As the transistors are scaled down to the dimensions of 20
nm regime, because of the laws of diffusion and the statistical nature of the distribution of the doping
atoms in the semiconductor, the formation of ultra shallow junctions with high doping concentration
gradients has become an increasingly difficult challenge for the semiconductor industry. Junctionless
transistors (also called gated resistor) have no junctions and no doping concentration gradients. These
devices have full CMOS functionality and are made using silicon nanowires. The fabricated devices
exhibit excellent turn on and output characteristics with a nearly ideal subthreshold slope SS=60mV/dec,
an on-state current comparable with that of an undoped-channel transistor with the same geometry, a very
small drain-induced barrier lowering(DIBL.
2. RFID Based Access Control and Attendance Marking System (B.Tech)-
The RFID Based Access Control and Attendance Marking System is an access system that enables
entry using a smart card, suitable for the safety requirements of companies, laboratories or factories, to
ensure that only authorized personnel is allowed access. In terms of system design and development, this
study consists of a combination of both hardware (circuit design) and software (program design). Unlike
mechanical locks, which use keys that are prone to duplication, RFID-based door locks adopt contact less
technology that utilizes smartcards embedded with encrypted serial keys that cannot be duplicated. This
feature ensures the reliability of RFID door locks, providing a secure access control. The tags’ ability to
withstand environmental conditions such as intense heat, humidity, corrosive chemicals, mechanical
vibration and shock also increases the reliability of the system
