Assembly Department

Responsible for bearing assembly with high emphasis on safety and

quality. Performed quality checks using required gages, process control

plans, SPCII and advanced math skills. Team-based operation. Performed

changeovers, machine repairs, trouble shooting and problem solving

update OPT. Set up training sessions to instruct associates in

thought-ware and procedures for OPT System. Maintained parameters

within the OPT model to create workable dispatch reports for all

operations. Monitor receipts of all sister plant requirements needed in

the manufacture of finished product and maintain their inventories

within the plant. Issue all start orders for the Stamp and Assembly

Departments. Coordinate raw material on a daily basis from local

warehouse as required by the Stamp Department. Issue weekly releases to

vendors against blanket purchase orders using Oracle and maintain a

controlled inventory level on all purchased components. Buyer for all

purchased components. Responsible for various Monthly reports (Excel)

which measure schedule attainment and inventory levels. Daily

communication and interaction with all levels of management

(supervisors, corporate personnel, forecasters, sister plant associates

and outside/vendors/suppliers. Assist in annual physical inventories.
