and identified the conditions under which the structure may undergo total
collapse.
. Engaged in Modeling of Fracture and Durability of Past-Bonded Composite
Joints Subjected to Hygro-Thermo-Mechanical Loading using FEA simulation
sponsored by the Boeing Company and Air Force.
. Conducted FEA stress analysis of a steel bridge on highway I-40 in
Missouri subjected to moving vehicles and thermal stress analysis (caused
by temperature changes).
. Engaged in Refractory for Black Liquor Gasifiers, Performing heat
transfer and thermal stress analysis using FEA simulation and conducting
mechanical and physical properties tests.
. Engaged in Dynamics and Failure Analysis of Architectural Glazing
Subjected to Blast Loading using FEA simulation, linear/nonlinear, to
obtain the dynamic response and failure models of monolithic and
laminated glass.
. Engaged in Design Methodology of Breakage Prediction of Laminated Glass
under Small Missile Impact using FEA codes sponsored by the National
Science Foundation, the Missouri Department of Economic Development
