P osition Responsibilities & Standard Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Obtains and documents patient’s medical history and vital signs, and updates
patient’s medical record.
2. Prepares patient and exam/procedure room.
3. Activity and promotes provider efficiency by managing rooming and patient f low,
i ncluding make appointment and billing.
4. U pon request, assists the Provider (Physician, PA) with instrument handling and
exam/procedure preparation, examinations and minor office surgeries, including
L iposuction.
5. Performs various minor procedures such as, Shave and Punch biopsies,
i ntramuscular, subcutaneous medications with Site Physician(s) authorization.
6. Performs suture removals, and wound care.
7. Demonstrates competent knowledge of medications, immunizations, and
i njections, administers, and Phlebotomy as directed by provider.
8. M anaging all pre-authorizations and prior authorizations with insurance
company and pharmacy for all medication authorizations.
9. Collects and prepares specimens by performing and documenting laboratory tests
as per office procedure.
10. Maintains infection control standards as defined by OSHA/CDC and maintains
cleanliness and organization of clinical areas.
11. Maintains equipment and medications, special storage requirements and
expiration dates.
13. T riage telephone calls and/or takes messages as appropriate.
14. Maintains adequate stock of medical supplies.
