2003 - 2011 Code Red Precision - Albion, IN - Part Owner and Manager of

facility that designed, built and repaired plastic injection molds

and workholding devices for local industry.

Sample achievements: Created the Zero Jaw quick change workholding

Designed and built new molds as quickly as 3 days

Implemented live 5-axis machining along with extreme metal removal

Standardized mold repair processes to ensure first time accuracy

using laser welding

line in order of build with 4 hour order to delivery.

Responsibilities: All suppliers' components and packaging, line

layout and tooling, early build coordination, customer interface.

Achievements: Successfully launched all models on schedule while

maintaining production costs under budget in category, labor,

tooling, etc.

2000 - 2002 Inergy Automotive - Troy, MI - Corporate Cost Reduction team

Co-leader for North American operations.

Achievements: Successfully led team to implement cost reductions of

$7.2M in current fiscal year and $15.4M over the life of existing

programs.

Reduced tooling cost of one new project by >$500k and set in place

a methodology to improve cost efficiency for all new programs.

- Ramos-Arizpe, Mexico - Launch Coordinator of new plant from bare floor

to five full fuel tank production lines in six months.

Achievements: Successfully launched facility and made it the most

cost effective (least scrap and quality issues) of Inergy's North

American plants

- Adrian, MI - Operations Manager for fuel tank blowmolding and assembly

facility.

Responsibilities: All day-to-day operations for a 3 shift facility

Achievements: Implemented self directed work teams so successfully

that my position became obsolete - hence the move the Ramos-Arizpe.

1991 - 2000 Walbro Automotive - Ligonier, IN - Contract Project Manager to

resolve issues on Stainless Steel fuel rail project for Ford -

Cologne, Germany.

Achievements: Resolved major issues and successfully launched 4.0L

fuel rail project that became their largest volume, highest margin

rail.

-Windsor, Ontario, Canada - Design Group Manager - Manage

technologies and priorities of Design Group for all of Walbro

Automotive's fuel tank projects, Co-Manager of Design/Project

facility

Achievements - Upgraded all CAD and analysis software to correctly

model and analyze shape, strength, slosh, and moldability

- Ossian, IN - Manufacturing Project Engineer to resolve Saturn Tank

launch issues

Achievements - Resolved blowmolding, automated welding cell, assembly,

and inspection issues to reduce scrap from 60% to <2%, attained

project PPAP approval

Wrote manual for hot plate welding of plastics for Walbro

Responsibilities - Design external aircraft engine brackets and

ducting and coordinate build and verification of first pieces

mounting hardware

Achievements - Developed methodology and software of using special

formed tube measurement machine to measure a tube shape with

discontinuous points for a special application

Responsibilities - Design, build, and test of a submunition dispensing

system for an advanced cruise missile

Achievements - Promoted to Group Leader after being with company only

6 months

1983 - 1985 General Dynamics - Convair Div. - San Diego, CA - Design

Engineer

Responsibilities - Coordinate build and test of submunition dispensing

system for the Tomahawk Cruise Missile

Achievements - Team designed and developed dispensing system that

achieved all of the desired objectives using a variety of materials

including composite lay-ups, foams, lanyards, pre-sprung metal, and

an explosive ejection system to both deploy submuntions and reseal

the missile for continued flight
