Description:

The Patient Monitoring system is the project is to monitor the condition of

t he Patient whether the patient condition is good or not. If not means the alarm will be

p roduced. To examine the patient condition Image Processing is used and for the

controls embedded system is used.

Responsibilities:

• Estimate the illumination quality of an image in terms of its luminance

d istortion.

• Extracting the Region of Interest (ROI).

Description:

The Vision Based Cop Presence Inspection system is a Machine Vision

A pplication on Industry domain . The Captured image which is taken by DataVS2 sensor

camera is processed by Image Processing algorithms. The project is to inspect the box

w hether the cops inside i t are missing or not. If missing has been found, the respective

box will be rejected. The Protocol to communicate with the camera is maintained by

embedded system.

Responsibilities:

• Extracting the Region of Interest (ROI).

• Implemented algorithms for Data VS2.

• Experimentation with various lighting condition and filters .

T itle : Color I mage Enhancement

Duration : From Jul 2013 to Aug 2013.

Module : Implemented Image Processing algorithms

Description:

A new technique for color enhancement in the compressed domain

w here the novelty lies in this case in i ts t reatment of the chromatic components, while

p revious techniques t reated only the luminance component.

Responsibilities:

• Captures the local statistics, by partitioning image into a set of N x N blocks

• Perform block DCT for each of the above obtained blocks

• Adjusting the local background illumination using the DC coefficient of a block

• Preservation of Local Contrast by multiplying the pixel values in the block by the

enhancement factor obtained using luminance value

• Suppressing Blocking Ar tifacts using the mapping function which keeps keep the

variations of the DC coefficients smooth or continuous.

• Performance evaluation with several other compressed domain methods.
