4/18/12-11/1/12 Temporary position for a company that makes

potentiometers, rotary and linear sensors for extreme environments.

Purchasing fell behind with a five page shortage list. I was hired to

help them reduce their shortages and implement lean manufacturing

principles. Within 3 months I was able to resolve most of the shortages

to a single page. With an ERP system Oracle J.D. Edwards and no sales

forecast, they thrived on building custom sensors for their customer

needs.

7/21/03-3/14/05 -SENIOR MATERIALS PLANNER: SBF was an R & D company

breaking into manufacturing. They were developing the next generation

FLIR technology which required a secret classification on my part. My

duties included the planning for materials on 15+ product lines.

Planning involved a very dynamic engineering department, with continuous

changes in the design. Utilizing MS project manager to determine lead

times for material and production assembly helped me to increase

production significantly. Without an MRP system available I utilized

Excel spread sheets to track materials and assemblies as they moved

through the manufacturing phase.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Dos data base system to procure materials for

manufacturing production consistent with quality, delivery and costs

expectations.

• Track movement of material through the production phase

rewarding job.

Well respected among my peers and management in solving daily

6/94-5/98 - MATERIAL CONTROL SUPERVISOR: DAC manufactured lathes and

mills to cut contact lenses. My responsibilities included planning,

purchasing, Stockroom and shipping receiving departments. Utilizing a

DOS data base required a bit more attention to detail than an integrated

MRP system. The DOS data base was more labor intensive and required more

checks and balances to insure we were on track to serve our customers and

keep our venders up to date with our needs.

Lucas/Tracor Aviation

495 S. Fairview

Goleta, Ca. 93117

6/85-9/93- Buyer: Tracor Aviation was a maintenance facility for

commercial aviation. We performed C and

D checks and also refurbished interiors. My last project before they

closed the doors was qualifying the GE engines for the Boeing 777. It

required removing from moth balls the third 747 ever built by Boeing and

making it air worthy, raising the landing gear so we could attach the

larger new engines and flight testing.

This required constant communication between Boeing, engineering and I to

keep the project on schedule. The program was a success but was delayed

slightly due to the condition of the 747, which required

replacement of the belly skin of the aircraft and significant structural

changes to make it airworthy.
