Stage Crew Manager:
- Opening and locking up of a University building unsupervised,
- Working with and sustaining expensive University equipment,
- Communicating efficiently with guest artists and audience members,
- Managing stage and backstage areas simultaneously during performances,
requiring constant focus and attention to not only the performing artists,
but also the previously planned details (stage entrances, lights, etc.) and
often making or following impromptu decisions based on needs of
performers/audience.
Room Schedules and Instrument Manager:
- Reading, scheduling, and confirming student and faculty requests to reserve
any classroom in the University of Texas School of Music building (6 floors,
30+ classrooms, between 15 and 60 reservation requests daily).
- Responsible for the extremely organized and vigilant checkout and safe return
of all University of Texas instruments to students and faculty. (The
financial value of these instruments is on the high side of hundreds of
thousands of dollars.)
Private Oboe Lessons:
- Creating and maintaining payment schedules with students and their parents,
- Scheduling and keeping appointed lesson times of multiple students,
- Providing progress reports and any additional help to students and their
parents outside of lessons in order to maintain a good and communicative
working relationship and establish myself as a reliable and amicable
person on whom they can rely.
