Research
Experience "Front/Rear Axle Torque Split Limits for Vehicle Stability
Control" (final project UVIC)
. Used Simulink to create a vehicle model. Performed vehicle
model simulations during acceleration and deceleration to
determine limits on the vehicle controller for torque
splitting between front and rear axle to prevent the vehicle
from slipping at longitudinal and lateral motion with and
without differential braking system engaged.
Projects "Belt Alternator Starter (BAS) motor DFMEA" (3rd semester UVIC)
. As part of a team and as a project under the EcoCar 2
project at University of Victoria, performed DFMEA, FTA
analysis and controls implementation of the fault mitigation
strategy for the Hybrid Chevrolet Malibu vehicle BAS
motor.Used Simulink to create a series hybrid vehicle model
to simulate the control strategy developed.
"New Hybrid Powertrain Design, Modeling and Simulation" (3rd
semester UVIC)
. Used Autonomie to design a Parallel Pre-tx PHEV Powertrain
using the Chevrolet Malibu as the base vehicle.
. Performed vehicle model simulations on different drive
cycles and Acceleration tests. Analysed the effect of
varying the powertrain architecture, motor/engine power
output on the vehicle performance parameters. Also gave a
presentation on it.
"MEMS Accelerometers in Automotive Industry" (2nd semester UVIC)
. Studied about the working, uses, advantages of MEMS over
conventional methods, various types of accelerometers,
manufacturing methods and further advancement through robust
package design for use in the automotive industry and also
gave a presentation on it
