Senior Vice President, Intermodal FCL, Inc., Huntersville, NC - January
2012 - Present
Intermodal FCL, Inc. is a supply chain management, logistics, and
warehousing firm specialized in the operational support of numerous
Government and Commercial contracts. My main objective in this position
is to create, refine and implement a ten-year business plan combined with
the management of other strategic business initiatives. While not a
business development role, this position requires the building of synergies
between sales and operations staff in order to exploit our core
competencies to the maximum extent possible. Almost immediately after my
hire the President of our firm was elected to public office, thus removing
him from the day-to-day management of the company. The duties and
responsibilities of managing the day-to-day activities of the firm became
my responsibility. As such, it was critical I had a title commensurate
with this level of authority and responsibility.
. Directly oversee business development staff and responsible for
overall strategic planning of this $8MM+ firm.
o Heavily involved in proposal management, writing, pricing, and the
overall capture process for RFP pursuits.

VSE Corporation is a defense and aerospace contractor located in the
Washington, D.C. market. With revenues exceeding $500MM annually, VSE is
engaged in many facets of defense logistics and maintenance operations.
While at VSE, I was initially responsible for the implementation of our
Risk Management Plan. The RMP supports seized property operations
(contracts earning in excess of $55MM annually). Through a promotion I
became responsible for national seized property operations in a project
management role. This role added the responsibilities of
budgeting/forecasting, strategic planning, performance monitoring, and
teaming relationships.
. Oversee the VSE Northeast region and national vehicle operations.
Daily responsibilities include: managing adherence to program budget
allocation, planning and executing major program initiatives, and
developing strategic plans to promote performance improvements and
increase program profitability.
. Manage a staff of thirteen analysts and program support specialists in
support of seized property operations
. Oversee and manage facility suitability determinations (warehousing)
and enhancement of operational performance within facilities.
. Member of proposal development strategy team with functions including:
technical writing for two Government contract proposals, "Price-To-
Win" strategy team for $640 Million and $15 Million proposal
competitions, respectively, and organizational reviews to align with
contract performance requirements

national agency representatives.
