Youth Leader – Pomegranate Health Systems Adolescent Psychiatry Columbus, OH Aug. 2013 –

present

Responsibilities include: Supervising patients’ activities and monitoring behaviors to ensure safety and

engagement in appropriate instructional, leisure and daily living activities, reduces the potential for the

occurrence of aggressive, self-abuse, property destruction and disruptions in programming by providing

supervision, physical presence and support in patient environments, providing support to patients in

performing a system of gradual and graded alternatives for de-escalating patients and managing their

behaviors. Assist in performing functional assessments of behaviors by gathering data relative to the

conditions under which target behaviors occur. Assist in developing intervention strategies that reinforce

correct behaviors. Provides and/or accompanies transportation and supervision of patients, including “at

risk” patients, to appointments, meetings and site trips. Works with patients to assure that needs and

schedules are met and behavioral plans are followed as prescribed. Coordinate and engage in

emergency and crisis intervention responses to ensure adequate coverage and incident management

Youth Development Director – YMCA of Central Ohio (Columbus, OH) Feb. 2013 - present

I am responsible for all day to day operations of youth & adult sports, collaborative programs with major

organizations, businesses and agencies. Responsible for family and teen programming, after school

programs and curriculum, summer camp operations, budgeting, staffing, and fundraising, collecting of

Lead Desk Supervisor – YMCA of Central Ohio - Columbus, OH Nov. 2012 – Feb. 2013

Supervised and manage all desk staff for the YMCA’s all male residential facility. Responsibilities

included, securing all the floors of the building and perimeter. Document detailed reports of daily building

activity, while maintaining a safe environment for residents consisting of ex-inmates to war veterans.

Site Coordinator - Greater Waterbury YMCA - Waterbury, CT Sept. 2012 to Nov. 2012

I was responsible for coordinating and organizing the interactive physical activity component for the 21rst

Century Grant afterschool program.

Site manager and developer – Dan Roberti for Congress - Waterbury, CT July 2012- August 2012

Work as a site manager and developer on the campaign for U S Congress candidate Dan Roberti. I was

responsible for developing visibility, programs, voter registration and the coordination of events. I also had

the honor of being a part of a historical moment with Marin Luther King III

Counselor – Head counselor for Consultation and Counseling Jan. 2012 to present

I actively counsel and mentor youths who have had some sort of substance abuse problems, at their

current facility or after they are discharged from the facility. Counseling consisted of joint sessions with the

Psychologist and one on one session.

Special Education – The Enlightenment School, Waterbury CT Oct. 2011 – November 2013

Serve as special task and assisting with securing the building with a City of Waterbury uniformed police

officer, I also teach a self-contained classroom of 14 of the most challenging students of the school,

teaching subjects consisting of History, Math, English, and Science.

Motivating and assisting students with their school work, while also helping to develop them into quality

Community Leader/Organizer – Neil O’Leary for Mayor of Waterbury, CT Campaign 2011

I worked extensively with and alongside Neil O’Leary’s campaign for mayor. I sponsored and hosted

several events and informational meetings in the community to help register hundreds of unregistered

voters, while informing them about the candidates in the city. Neil O’Leary won the election and is the

current mayor of Waterbury, CT.

I replaced permanent teacher in History for sophomore and Junior students. Responsibilities included

planning curriculum, preparation for State examinations (CAPT), correcting and grading papers, student/

was a junior in high school, thus thrusting me into a fatherly role and assuming responsibilities of

a man at a very young age. Providing for my mom and brothers, while maintaining school! I

believe this experience has made me better and more prepared for life. I have the ability to adjust

to any situation, circumstance, or environment. Not allowing any of them to be a reason or an

excuse for me not to attain any goal that I have set out to achieve.
