Dear Hiring Manager,
I am interested in applying for the Process Technician position. I believe that I am an excellent
candidate for this position based on my manufacturing process development experience along with my
personal passion for the development of biologics. I possess strong work ethic, excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, and an advanced knowledge in the process development and
purification of mammalian cell culture process. Please accept this letter and accompanying resume for
my consideration for the position.
I currently work in the clinical-scale manufacturing and development team at Regeneron
Pharmaceuticals. During my time at Regeneron, I have gained experience in mammalian cell cultures,
protein purification and process development. I was a key contributor in the planning and execution of
campaigns and studies critical to clinical-scale manufacturing and development. This includes
technology transfer from small-scale process development and full-scale manufacturing. I was
appointed as the downstream manufacturing representative for tech transfer of various cell lines from
process development to clinical scale manufacturing. As the downstream representative for tech
transfer, I was responsible for training other manufacturing personal on new types of chromatography
and filtration processes as well as performing and executing these processes during manufacturing
campaigns.
Additionally, I was responsible for designing and executing experiments to help improve the
mammalian cell manufacturing process. Working in both clinical and commercial-scale manufacturing
as well as closely with process development has taught me flexibility while managing simultaneous
projects with changing priorities in strict time constraints. Through projects, I have had to work
independently as well as collaboratively in a cross-functional environment for over three years. I feel
that the skills I have obtained from Regeneron will make me a valuable asset to Synectics.
Overall, my career goal is to contribute to the development of life changing medications. I am
looking to meet new challenges and develop my career in the greater Boston area. I am extremely
interested in new developments and trends of biologics and to be a key contributor to the next generation
product. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to hearing from you and discussing the
positive contributions I would offer to your team.
Sincerely,
Tyler Hassenpflug
