Mechanical Engineer concentrating in the area of conceptual design of aerospace materials, fasteners,
assembly, and component designs including kinematic relational studies. Worked with a team to
create designs and 3D models of sub-systems components and mockups using basic principles of
optimization for manufacturability, production, cost, and weight. Provide 2D drawings that include GDT to
maintain tolerance control to support manufacturing and assembly of parts. Experienced in designing test
fixtures for components, tools, and assemblies for Development Testing and DO-160E/F. Current
experience with designs and installation drawings for aerospace interior components such as A400M
cargo system. Advanced skills in CATIA-V5 with over 19600 hours utilizing more advanced features such
as Clash Analysis to increase productivity and clarity of models controlled in Smarteam.
Employment
AAR Cargo System - Aircraft Airbus A400M Cargo Goldsboro, NC 2010 to 2013
Mechanical CAD Design and Lead Test Engineer:
Duties: Product Design for an Aircraft Cargo Rail System development using CATIA and Solidworks.
Quality Testing administered to Standard RTCA DO-160E. Participate in new design development,
reliability testing, test procedures development, test fixtures, and tools development.
• With a small team of engineers, designed a restraining system for the A400M ramp, which lead to
a patented design.
• Developed and wrote Quality Test Procedures and Static Load Procedures for a mechanical
system. These documents were used as a foundation between AAR and Airbus to qualify
specification of the system.
• Integrated an actuation equipment and electrical proximity cargo control system into a-board
aircraft computer that corrected computer signal irregularity. This also continued the operating
test of the cargo position indication system of the electro-mechanical restraining components.
AeroSat Avionics – – Antenna Development for In-Flight Services Amherst, NH 2006-2009
Electro-Mechanical Test Engineer
• Performed ESS testing for production aircraft entertainment antennas, increasing monthly
production by $500k.
• Developed and Wrote Environment Stress Screening procedures (ESS) Project, which developed
a procedure to which implement ESS to detect latent defects in avionics equipment during early
development.
ATA Airlines – Aircraft Indianapolis, IN - 2004-2005
Maintenance Programs & Reliability Engineering Intern
• Ensured optimum operation of fleet of 737, 757 & L-1011 aircraft through interfacing with field and
engineering to resolve aircraft deficiency.
• Initiated changes to Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Fault Isolation Manuals, and drafter
Maintenance Alert Bulletins.
• Presented reliability enhancement proposals to ATA Airlines Aircraft Reliability Board, increasing
component reliability and reducing part and labor costs.
