1 person has recommended Gabrielle
"I am delighted to write this reference on behalf of Ms. Gabrielle Tofani (Gabi). I have known Gabi for
several years in several different capacities, and am confident that she will make an extremely strong
candidate for most positions. I am pleased to give her my recommendation. Gabi was a student in four
courses with me, three of which were upper division courses in her major – human resource management. Of
particular note, she took employment law with me in the fall 2011 semester and earned an “A.” In fact, I
remember that she scored the highest grade of anyone in the class on the first examination. I am extremely
impressed by this because the employment law course that I teach is particularly difficult and very few
students earn “A” grades. Gabi's performance in that course shows me that she has the ability to do extremely
well when she puts her mind to something. In the other two human resource management courses Gabi took
with me (basic Human Resource Management and Labor Relations), Gabi received A- and B+ respectively.
Again, these are very good grades because I am extremely harsh grader. I also know Gabi on a personal level,
because she is one of my advisees within the school of business at SUNY Oswego. One thing that has
impressed me about Gabi is that she always has maintained at least one, if not two jobs while pursuing her
college education. Whereas many students can focus solely on their academics, Gabi has had to juggle the
burden of being a student while maintaining employment to fund her education. Thus, while her grades may
not be as strong as some other students', much of this can be explained by the schedule that Gabi has had to
maintain. In fact, I was impressed enough by Gabi's ability to maintain a rigorous schedule that I was an
advisor for first-year students this year and I needed an upper-class student to be my "peer advisor," and I
asked Gabi to be my peer advisor. Finally, Gabi is extremely personable, friendly and easy to get along with.
In summation, I am pleased to write this letter on behalf of Gabi Tofani. I believe that she will make a solid
employee."
