My extensive experience as a Manager - Project Manager for the construction

of new builds and refits of private luxury yachts and commercial vessels,

as well as being an Accredited Marine Surveyor, will translate into

virtually any position that requires meticulous project management or

general management as outlined below. My background also includes being

contracted to reorganize problematic projects that were over budget and/or

behind schedule. Projects that I have managed range from budgets of $

50,000 to over $ 80,000,000 with 10-150 employees and sub contractors.

These projects required not only an extensive technical & engineering

background, but also involved extensive analyzing, organization &

communication, problem solving under tight deadlines, firing & hiring of

managers and department heads, negotiating with multiple international

contractors, sub contractors, and vendors, reviewing and re-negotiating pre-

existing contracts, and revising budgets and schedules. These projects are

also built to Class. In between projects I return to marine surveying as

an Accredited Marine Surveyor - SAMS -Society of Accredited Marine

Surveyors for Super Yachts and Ships -commercial and private use for; pre-

purchase, claims, Insurance, deck cargo and or consulting.

I began my marine career at age 17, as an officer in the British Merchant

Navy. Thereafter, I transitioned into private luxury yachts and worked

internationally as a Project Manager & Marine Surveyor, from the

Mediterranean to the Caribbean, Japan, South America, The Middle East, and

the U.S.A .

I reside in Los Angeles, California and hold both U.S and Irish

citizenship. I am willing to acquire any additional skills necessary for

available positions. Willing to relocate.

Professional Experience

THE EXCELSIOR YACHT GROUP, LLC, Calabasas, California 1997-Present

Marine Surveying & Project Management

. Serve as a Project Manager for custom built new construction and

extensive refits of commercial vessels and private luxury Super Yachts

with budgets up to $80M. Oversee each complete project, from identifying

the most cost effective location to hiring the most skilled craftsmen.

. Built to Class; experience with Lloyds of London, ABS, Bureau Vertas,

Germanischer Lloyds

. Organize and run each project on budget and on time, always keeping a

clear line of communication with the owners, yard, and crew.

. Negotiate with multiple international contractors and sub-contractors,

including reviewing and re-negotiating pre-existing contracts.

. Hire and fire managers and department heads to assemble a highly skilled,

effective team; handle any employee problems that may arise.

. Marine surveying of Yachts and Boats for Pre purchase, claims,

insurance, deck cargo

. Significant recent projects include:

. Three years at RMK Marine Istanbul helping to develop the yacht

division and project

managing a 150' 25 million USD new build Ron

Holland design motor Yacht

. Contracted to take over 200' vessel with an $80M budget and 140+

employees, that was currently 5 years behind schedule and over

budget. Successfully hired qualified and experienced middle to

upper management for shipyard, created schedules and budgets and

implemented in-depth plan.

. Hired to locate a ship yard that could efficiently complete a

major refit which included painting, electrical, plumbing, and

mechanical. Project managed the refit, negotiated all related

contracts, and completed all of the schedules and budgets.

. Contracted to take over the building of a 140'vessel with a $25M

budget that was over budget and 3 years behind schedule.

Reorganized the 100+ work force and introduced qualified and

experienced managers and supervisors. Established a new budget

and schedule. The vessel was launched ahead of time and within

the budget.
