Brief summary of skills & experience
Besides teaching I also have previous experience working as a Spanish/English and
English/Spanish translator-interpreter. My main field was teaching ESL in Spain at various
language schools and also teaching Spanish to immigrants from different parts of the world.
While in Spain, I also worked with various multinational companies as translator-interpreter for
Shell, Moulinex (French appliance company in Spain), Brilen (American company which
manufactured PET for the soft drink companies in Spain), various Spanish wineries who had to
deal with the United States, Great Britain, Australia, South Africa, among other countries, and
with various other smaller companies. I have more than ample experience in simultaneous
translating and also the written translating all types of written documentation.
Besides being fluent in Spanish I also speak Hungarian.
I was also stationed in Afghanistan for a tour of duty where I worked with soldiers
(NATO/ISAF/Afghan army and police) and civilians from all parts of the world. I am
accustomed to working in a very diverse multi-cultural setting.
Also, I am New York State teacher certified in Social Studies 7-12 awarded to me on 02/01/2013.
