KEY PROJECTS:
• Led the project to support a new product launch from back end. This product
accounts for more than $2 Million in revenue. We built a process for the user to submit their client file, and then we
matched it against our database, and delivered a custom database to the client with prospect contacts, and additional data
for their existing contacts. In order to achieve this, we standardized the input file format, created match and append
services to compare customer file, with InfoGroup database, and created a standard output file which would be displayed
on the website for the user
• Managed development of an Automated Database Build Tool, which was
the 2nd phase of the above project. We created a standard drive to store the customer files, and we linked that drive with an
automated tool, which auto built those customer files. This reduced development/ maintenance hours by 50%; and it
replaced recurring developer hours with recurring analyst hours, as analysts could then run the process via this tool
• Led the project to migrate to new architecture – it saved server space from
23 Terabyte to .5 Terabyte, as on new architecture, 50 customers shared 1 copy of a 220 Million record database, where
as the old architecture had separate copy (i.e. 50 copies) of that 220 Million record database. It also reduced recurring build
time, as that 220 Million record base database was just built 1 time
• Led the project to Consolidate Email Operations performed by 2 divisions,
in order to remove duplication in efforts and increase efficiency. It led to vendor consolidation- 5 email vendors had
redundant contracts with both divisions. This project led to creation of 1 corporate agreement, leading to more than
$100,000 savings. It also led to database Build Consolidation as both divisions were cleansing emails (via email hygiene
processing), and building email database every month. With this project database build was transitioned to 1 division,
which reduced significant processing hours, and created a centralized database.
• Project Management via Sharepoint - Created a new process to gather project requirements, assign resources and
monitor Project Status of various Projects using SharePoint. It became a central repository of all projects and it enabled
team members and executives to view a quick status of all projects in pipeline and to view a list of all projects completed in
a quarter.
Database Analyst 2007 – 2008

and functionalities around that data for web applications
• Wrote test cases and performed QA on various in-house databases using SQL queries
• Maintained Data Dictionaries of databases documenting metadata definitions/business rules for data elements;
and maintained Database Count Reports after each deployment, that showed trend on count fluctuations
• Built customized views of data and functionalities for Web Products, Full Files and Core Services
• Answered any data questions, and/or provided support from a data knowledge perspective
• Performed new data integration activity and communicated availability of new data to web products
• Excelled in client service skills and handled multiple customer files / projects at the same time
• Created Data Usage document to track usage of data by different products, which led to better control of data
KEY PROJECTS:
• Led the development of a New Database, which entailed details on occupation of 16 Million
consumers. This database had a direct impact on Company’s revenue. It involved - gathering requirements from various
divisions, providing specifications to the development team, creation of testing scripts to test if the database worked as per
expectation, communication of the completion of this project to impacted divisions and creation of a recurring process to
the build and test the database every month.
• Created Issue Tracking Form on Microsoft Outlook, which was used by Product Support team to
submit issues. This form enforced Product Support team to give details of the issue – such as Database, Application,
Environment, Session Id, Steps to replicate the issue. Time spent on Product Support issues went down by 8% after using
this tool
