Professional Experience

Execution: 19 years of industrial construction experience as a Journeyman Certified B pressure Welder with

an emphasis on pipe fabrication, welding, installation and module installation . An active

participant in several construction projects ranging from mega industrial projects to small single

well pipelines and tie ins. Owner and operator of 3J Welding services.

A strong knowledge and skill set of welding fundamentals/techniques for a variety of welding

process and materials. Actively participated in weld procedure research and development. Well

versed in a variety of construction codes including ASME and CSA.

Managemen Led a high volume pipe fabrication facility. Responsible for overall facility performance within

t: the key indicators of safety, quality, and production. Implemented and monitored corporate

safety and quality programs. Provided leadership and guidance for all fabrication personnel.

Provided leadership and management for all fabrication/module projects performed at

facility while maintain project schedules and budgets. Responsible for the overall safety and

quality performance of the yard while promoting a culture of accountability. Worked with

Project Managers on estimates and overall project budgets. Developed and maintained open

communication with clients, EPCMs, and subcontractors to ensure that projects were executed

successfully for all parties. All projects performed were primarily SAGD

Capital Projects Team, URS Flint 2011 2012

Participated in the execution of capital projects and maintenance projects at Nova Chemicals

Joffre site. Worked with project superintendents and field engineers to ensure that possible

construction issues were identified to ensure efficient project completion. Upheld the safety

requirements of Nova Chemicals/URS Flint.

Fabrication Supervisor, CMR Fabricators 2009 2011

Responsible for the overall safety, quality, and production of the pipe fabrication shop

activities. Successfully executed several fabrication projects including SAGD piping efficiently

and safely. Participated in the development of new weld procedures. Worked to ensure client’s

needs were met.

Facility Construction Supervisor, Precision Projects Limited 2009

Under the direction of the Client inspector supervised construction and installation of field

facilities at multiple locations. Liaised with field engineer to identify and solve possible

constructability conflicts.

Contract Portable Welding, 3J Welding Inc 2004 2013

Provided contract portable welding services on various construction projects including

Enbridge, Access Pipelines, Cabin Resources, Peyto, Encana, and Husky. Projects varied from

large industrial projects to small diameter pipelines and single well tie ins.

General Foreman, Shell Scotford Upgrader, Fluor 2001 2003

Served as welding foreman and as welding general foreman during the project construction.

Responsible for the supervision of project welder and welding supervisors. Worked in

conjunction with the Quality Assurance department to ensure that welding performed met the

clients quality requirements
