. Oversee all student account services with the responsibility of ensuring

we meet regulatory compliance requirements while balancing operational

efficiencies.

. Centralized and standardized the billing and stipend process for 60

ground campuses and our online division. Currently developing a strategy

to complete the centralization of the remaining 40 ground campuses that

are on different student information system.

. Developed metrics and reports to drive operational efficiency and manage

spending relative to centralizing the student account operations for 100

campuses.

. Implemented a loan origination platform and servicing arrangement with an

outside vendor to provide students with an option to finance their student

debt, while actively managing AR risk.

. Oversee the cash management for student accounts relative to drawing down

financial aid. Centralized and standardized the state grant function for

. Developed a new student statement with a focus on compliance and legal

third party vendor to produce and mail the student statements.

. Oversee all general ledger accounting with the responsibility of

. Centralized and standardize the month end close process for 100 ground

campuses and our online division, while reducing the close cycle by two

business days. Reduced the number of monthly journal entries by 50% (2186

to 1276).

. Implemented a process to effectively analyze the balance sheet and

earnings statement monthly. Developed a balance sheet variance analysis

and monthly income statement bridge that focuses on variances between

plan, prior periods and forecast, and presented to the Controller.

. Modified the Bad Debt reserve process to better identify the risks

associated with outstanding AR. Developed a data verification process for

our write-off risk validation, and automated the write-off process.

. Developed a standardized reconciliation process, including centralized

repository (RecWizard) and monitoring reports. Developed a risk based

review process that ensured all accounts were reconciled and all

reconciling items cleared timely. Developed scorecard reports related to

reconciliations not completed, aged reconciling items, and unidentified
