Hired as a field service engineer. Duties are installing diagnostic imaging
devices for use in the veterinary medicine practice. These include CR, DR
radiography and dental systems made by Konica, O&R, Toshiba, Sedecal, Image
Works and Planmeca. After the installation, it is also my obligation to
provide the training, onsite and remote service as needed to the end users.
PharmaTrust March 2011 to March 2012
I was the first U.S. based field service engineer hired by PharmaTrust.
PharmaTrust manufactures and sells a prescription medication dispensing
device that is to be used in stores and medical facilities. In this
position, I was responsible for the set up of the service division for the
US operation. This includes the establishment of all policies and
procedures needed for the successful operation of the field service group.
Duties include site surveys, installation management, delivery, set-up,
repairs and maintenance for the life of the product.
Dominion Voting Systems October 2010 to

My responsibility was to maintain the operation of the electronic voting
systems used by the Cook County Board of Elections.

Regional Support Engineer 2006 to September

Promoted to the newly created role in the Service Management group.
Responsible for a variety of both technical and management duties. Managed
a staff of up to 22 Field Engineers in the Western United States. Also
provided high-level technical support to clients in the Western United
States (28 states) Hawaii, Guam and the Pacific Rim. Travelled up to 80%
of the time.
Responsibilities included field service on the entire Covidien diagnostic
imaging line of products, installation and certification of all products,
and project management. Provided sales support, technical support to the
field group and employee development. Managed crises as they arose,
assuring customer satisfaction and limiting employee turnover.
Midwestern Team Lead 1997 to 2006
Promoted to this role from Field Service Engineer. While continuing the
duties of the Field Service Engineer, I also took on the responsibility for
managing a team of fourteen engineers in the Midwest. Assigned calls to
engineers and assured they had the proper training to service customers.
Provided technical support as needed to both Field Engineers and in-house
Biomed Engineers and assisted in annual reviews of employees within the
territory.
Field Engineer 1992 to 1997
Hired as the first Field Service Engineer in the Midwest Territory.
Responsible for installation, troubleshooting, repair and certification of
Liebel-Flarsheim Urology Suites and Injectors. I also provided technical
support to in house Biomedical Technicians. This position required the use
of various types of hand tools, test devices that included DVM's,
oscilloscopes, circuit analyzers, test pattern generators and both invasive
and noninvasive radiation calibration devices. When needed, this position
required interfacing to customer owned accessories via digital and analog
interfaces. The computerized operation of the imaging system also required
the ability to connect the devices our company supplied to the customer's
IT service. Maintained a local inventory, reported time and expenses via
windows based systems using outlook, word and excel.

Promoted to the Imaging division. Responsibilities increased with time to
include the installation, maintenance and repair of x-ray systems, from the
simplest clinical radiographic units to the most complex Cardiac and
Digital Labs that the company offered.

Promoted to the position of Field service Engineer for the installation,
maintenance and repair of film processors.
Service Support Assistant 1976 to 1978
Hired as a clerk for the field service operation. The position included
maintaining an inventory of parts and supplies for the operation service
department that had over 50 engineers, service billing, customer interface,
maintenance of federal reports and other duties associated with the day to
day operation of a field service group.
