Briefly worked in the ER (6mos.) when the gero- psych unit closed. Worked
the latter, an open psychiatric unit, nine years, doing psychiatric
assessments, admissions, discharges and treatments for people ages 55 and
older. Conducted individual, group and family therapy, as well as crisis
intervention, throughout the hospital.

Worked on open and locked psychiatric units as staff nurse IV and resource.
Conducted individual and group therapy as well as facilitated the
comprehensive medical unit’s program. Carried out MD’s orders, dispensed
meds and did treatments as needed for patients with eating disorders, chronic
pain and various medical illnesses. Actively participated in Steering
Committee, Policy and Procedure Committee, Nurse Practice and Program
Committees.
