I am seeking an Operations Support position at your refinery that leverages my strong operations and

maintenance background. I have developed significant and broad experience over my 34 years of

background in maintenance and operations, including multiple supervisory roles across the Whiting refinery.

Work Experience

BP/Amoco Oil/Standard Oil Whiting, IN 6/1979-8/2013

During my thirty-four years of employment at BP (Standard Oil, Amoco Oil) I served in various capacities:

1979-1983: Wax/Lubricants Warehouse Operator – Performed day-to-day role including driving safe operation,

managing inventory, and coordinating across multiple interfaces to ensure smooth input and output in the

storehouse.

1983-2007: Various assignments at the Whiting FCCU’s including:

Field Operator – Actively managed the feed operations on two FCU’s and gas plants

Console Operator – Drove safe operations, unit performance, and constraint management on both

FCCU’s and associated gas plants

Console Operator Trainer – Trained new console operations on FCCU complex operations, theory, and

emergency response

Turnaround/Operations Supervisor (Stepup) – Led a team of hourly personnel and contractors to safely deliver

unit maintenance during shutdown activities as well as running unit operations

2007-2009: Maintenance Mechanical Field Supervisor – Managed the planning and execution with a group of

craftsmen to deliver work package completion on shutdown activities across the plant

2009-2011: Crude Unit and Coker Operations Supervisor – Led a team of hourly personnel to safely deliver

operational performance at two sour crude units and a delayed coker

2011-2013: Crude Unit and Coker Special Projects Supervisor – Led a team of hourly personnel and contractors

to deliver special unit maintenance, the delivery of small projects, and startups of new equipment at two

crude units and a delayed coker.
