EXPERIENCE SUMMARY:

My last full time job assignment was (July 2011) with the “ Arabian Construction Company”

(ACC) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, as a Group HSE Manager and I have a total of 46 years experience

in varied fields of “Operations, Safety, Modern Fire control procedures &techniques encompassing

Oil Refineries, Oil Terminals, Power Houses, Desalination Plants, Crude Oil Conditioning Plants,

Super multi story (100 stories+) structures etc, all in Major Oil & Civil construction Industries, mostly

in the Middle East region, enforcing strict HSE Safety codes & practices. I am also fully conversant

with the NFPA/BS Safety codes and have the relevant knowledge of HAZOP, OSHA, Loss

prevention techniques etc.

BACKGROUND PROFILE (Reverse Chronological order)

1. ARABIAN CONSTRUCTION COMPANY – ABU DHABI (1999 2011), a highly reputed

IMS certified Civil Construction Company, as a Group HSE Manager. Amongst other

responsibilities, I was also personally overseeing the prime Civil Construction projects in the

UAE, State of Qatar, Egypt & Lebanon. Managing departmental Staff

administration/Training and periodical staff recruitment was part of my job.

2. AL NABOODA LAING. (ANL) – (1992 1998) A joint venture project of UK & UAE civil

construction consortium Dubai, as a HSE Manager, with similar responsibilities.

3. WESTERN OIL COMPANY. (WOC) – (1990 1992) A Second stage Fuel Oil Refinery,

Dubai. Worked as a Plant Manager, having responsibilities of management of various

distillation products & storages & covering total Safety aspects.

4. EMIRATES GENERAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION. (EGPC) (1988 1990) Dubai – Oil

movement operations of different refinery products with Oil storage operations & the Safety

aspects, as a Senior Plant Supervisor.

5. ABUDHABI NATIONAL OIL COMPANY. (ADNOC) (1982 1988) – Fully computerised Oil

movement operations of 17+ refinery products, featuring state of the art marine loading

facilities & Safety systems, loading sea going oil tankers & VLCCs from the mammoth

loading facilities, as a Senior Operations & Safety Supervisor.

6. DUBAI ALUMINIUM COMPANY. (DUBAL)(1979 1982) – Basically an Aluminium Smelter

(Gas Turbine generated 600MW power Plant) with five Gas Turbines (90 MW each) &

huge Desalination Plants containing massive evaporators. Worked as a Senior Operations

& Safety Supervisor.

7. DUBAI PETROLEUM COMPANY. (DPC) (1973 1979) – Offshore Crude Oil /Gas &Water

separation process Plant operations and regular monitoring & testing of all fire protection

systems, fire monitors, dry/wet risers, Halon 1301 systems, Platform abandon and Safety

procedures, periodical fire drills, conduct regular safety meetings & implement first aid

practices. Worked as a Plant Supervisor.

8. OIL INDIA LTD. (OIL) (1962 1973) – Worked as a Crude oil process plant operations and

products storages Supervisor, following Safety practices e.g, automatic foam deluge

systems, inspection of fire systems /extinguishers & fire monitors etc.

EXTRA CURRICULAR / OTHER INFORMATION:

Once a keen Tennis, Table Tennis & a Badminton player, I am still continuing the same but

obviously with a lesser pace and I am maintaining a very sound health.
