corporate programs. Position was responsible for establishing and managing program metrics for concept
designs, documentation and implementation for all current bus models built today; Rear engine, Forward
Control & Conventional buses. Position was responsible for identifying required capital and operating
expense budgets for programs. Design team consisted of 14 engineers, designers, and support staff.
Blue Bird Body Company – Fort Valley, Georgia 1989 – 1992
Manufacturer of Blue Bird brand school and transit buses.
Project Engineer _
Lead engineer for project team of 3 engineers and support designers to install Chevrolet 427-gasoline
engine in the Blue Bird TC 2000 chassis. Responsible for coordinating EPA emission certification
documentation with outside consulting firms.
Personally responsible for accessory belt drive configuration, including new casting brackets, exhaust
system design, motor mounts, frame rails and air intake system, windows, under floor luggage
compartments, battery compartments and body to chassis tie downs.
