Project Title: Developing DrinknLink’s android application

Project Description:

Developing an application with the potential to allow the user’s to perform a pubcrawl while navigating through the

shortest route. The app allows users to search the most relevant cafe or bar based on selected ratings. The app

provides the user’s with functionality to plot the shortest route to their favorite cafe or bar over Google map. The app

has the capability to display different bar/cafe’s in a particular proximity, follow their favorite cafe/bar’s to receive real

time event’s & promotions. The app is connected to social media and grant access to user’s to share their favorite

event and promotion with facebook friends. The app has the capability to let the user create a manual pubcrawl, share

it with friends to refine the list or add more bars, store’s user’s favorite list for future visit and allows the user’s to

choose a location for meet up.

Project Title: Positioning system based on UMTS signal strength measurements

Project Description:

Developed a tool that enables us to analyze the potential of android client (application) in cellular positioning and asses

different types of positioning system’s accuracy. The focus is to determine different kind of positioning accuracy based

on the signal strength measurements received from android clients (applications). Multiple android clients interact with

android server in order to get their positioning information based on the signal strength and positioning coordinates

(Longitude, Latitude) from current and neighboring cells and GPS provided as parameters. Visualizing android client

movement on the map using ArcMap and on the android client using the visualizing function.

phone number as input from user and starts tracing its position. Web client takes user phone as input to locate the

android client over Google map.
