WORK HISTORY:

06/01/2011 - April 13, 2013: HR Administrator - Maalt Transport, Ft. Worth,

TX (One direct report)

Duties:

Recruiting drivers, non-exempt clerical and exempt professional using

various recruitment tools i.e. craigslist, employment agencies,

CareerBuilder, INDEED, Monster, and other various web based sites. For all

positions except drivers I had to obtain budget approval from the President

of the company before extending a job offer.

Scheduling/obtaining results from drug screen/background screens, extending

offer letters, entering them online through company database (CYMA),

verifying status with E-Verify and OAG, maintained all personnel files

(application/resume, personal info, benefits, job description, handbook

acknowledgement, I-9 (with copy of supporting documents),and W2. I created

a spreadsheet that tracked new hires and turnover, a spreadsheet to track

benefit eligibility/COBRA notifications and a spreadsheet to track all

FMLA, LOA, etc.

Authored employee handbook, employee monthly newsletter, and maintained all

rental property agreements. I partnered extensively with Payroll to ensure

correct pay deductions for benefits, child support, and tax levy's, etc.

Employee Relations: Performed investigations, suspension if action

warranted it, dismissal if final findings indicate wrong doing. On numerous

occasions I served as the mediator between managers and staff.

Benefits: Processed all WC claims, maintained OSHA log, and enrolled

employees online with all carriers at time of eligibility, COBRA, ERISA,

Open Enrollment. Processed monthly carrier statements for payment with A/P.

New Hire Orientation: Created slide show for out of state new hires,

presented in person each week to all local hires. Reviewed policies, pay,

benefits, dos and don'ts.

Dismissals: Processed all resignations/terminations and informed payroll

and benefit carriers.

01/2007 - 07/2010: Director Human Resources - Mesquite Specialty Hospital,

Mesquite, TX

Administered all pay increases, maintained annual Performance Evaluations.

Facilitator for monthly New Hire Orientations. Presented slide show with

department managers as presenters throughout the day. Provided lunch for

all new hires.

Authored monthly employee newsletter, served as Chair of Nurse Advisory

Committee, served as Chair of Employee Recognition program. Promoted many

I processed all benefit enrollments, all monthly carrier statements, COBRA,

ERISA, FMLA, WC, and assigned annuity plans for pension plans. I verified

domestic partnership. I presented benefits at weekly new hire

orientations. I then took all new hires to training room and assisted them

in enrolling their benefits.

Duties:

I was at Barry for 14 years so I did it all from on boarding/recruitment to

retirement/resignation/or termination, created numerous query reports to

batch end all benefits and to batch enroll all new benefits. I processed

all annual and part-time Faculty and Professional Non-Faculty contracts, I

partnered with Payroll to ensure correct payroll deductions. I

administered the annual Open Enrollment, New Podiatric Residents

Orientation, and the monthly New Hire Orientation. I created and

maintained applicable skills testing. I created a benefits webinar for our

satellite campuses. I was the HR liaison between Academic Computing and

our Data Center. I maintained the HR Intranet site. I was a member of the

Benefits Council. I sponsored annual United Way and Susan B Komen

charities. I was on the Wellness Committee. I had 4 direct reports:

Receptionist, WC secretary, Student aid, and Benefits Administrator. I

represented the University for all unemployment and EEOC claims. I

produced ad-hoc reports for outside entities: Department of Labor, CUPA,

AAUP, and am fully versed in SACs requirements. I created and maintained

Job Descriptions, batched ended all annual pay and batch entered the new

fiscal year pay. I batched ended all annual leave plans and batched

enrolled all new annual leave plans. I administered COBRA, processed all

carrier invoices to Accounts Payable, served as liaison with all carriers,

maintained ERISA, SAR, and SPD, and held rate negotiations with all

carriers.
