Responsibilities: I currently work primarily in the medication preparation facility of the Asthma &Allergy Specialist- PA where
the serums to treat the patient’s specific allergens are made and are prepared for administering. My duties include: shot
administration, determining accurate dosage per patient, ordering serum, product stocking, maintaining optimal temperature log,
patient chart management and discarding expired serum. I interact daily with patients, approach each patient with a positive
cheerful attitude and support the office with clerical and billing assistance.
Medical Assistant, Men’s Health of the Carolinas, Cornelius, NC, 8/2012-5/2013
Responsibilities: In this dual role as the assistant interim office manager and medical assistant I performed many duties to
include: inventory management, billing and payment processing, medical records management, intramuscular injections and
phlebotomy. This clinic specialized in men’s sexual dysfunction and due to the sensitivity of the patient’s conditions, respect

Responsibilities: This job assignment was a temporary position. I performed pre-analytical processing and testing of laboratory
specimens to ensure the proper specimen is labeled and/or treated to perform appropriate testing. Accurately processed reports
according to departmental instructions and pathology requirements. Interacted with the medical and nursing staff daily to
provide timely collection of specimens according to physician orders. Assisted in the collection of specimens from patient’s
bedside as well as required to travel to various units within the hospital, clinics and medical offices on and off-site as needed to

Responsibilities: In this role, I interacted with the patients daily once I was called by reception to meet the patient and to escort
them to their waiting examination/procedure room. I gave each patient understanding, care and compassion. I listened
attentively to accurately record their chief complaints to better assist the doctor in providing the best care for them. I made sure
to properly obtain their medical history and verify the patient’s information. Also prepared and accurately assisted in completing

examinations and treatments as well as in surgery set up and injury care as directed by the treating medical provider (nurse
practitioner, physicians and physician assistants). On a daily basis, I took vital signs and performed all ancillary tests
appropriate to skill level, certifications and state regulations as well as performed tasks as ordered by the Center Medical
Director (PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws). I performed drug screen collections for both DOT and Non-DOT
drug screens, ensured preparation for pick-up and shipment to appropriate laboratory. Lastly, I was responsible for performing
office clerical duties such as answering telephones, check-in, check-out and record processing as requested by Center
Administrator.
