Trucking Services in North America and Commercial Services thru National

Tank Services.

Region Shop and Fleet Manager

. All aspects of shop facilities including its buildings, grounds,

equipment, personnel, revenue and margins along with all aspects of

equipment repair cost per mile, utilization and disposal process

assigned to the Branches. Additionally provide a layer of leadership

to National Tank services operations.

. Ensure mechanics have proper instruction and procedures to perform

their duties safely, efficiently and follow Trimac Standards

. Assist with development of shop appearance standards to include

efficient use of shop bays and cleanliness.

. TMT implementation-Train and support personnel, drive initiatives to

enhance inventory control, warranty repairs, audit vendor repairs and

to bill commercial customers.

. Assist efforts to improve margin initiatives by reducing indirect

labor, proper staffing levels and capacity utilization at all shops.

. Effectively plan, organize and direct terminal managers, lead

mechanics, shift mechanics, parts manager and fleet coordinator to

achieve the most cost effective organizations structure.

. Took the Virginia terminal which was operating with a loss (18 trucks)

and within 6 months making profit. Grew to 60 trucks and had an

operating ratio of 86.

. Reduced the number of trucks at the Durham terminal to better utilize

the equipment resulting in having a 91 operating ration and increasing

customer base.

. Determined over a three-year period to down size the Atlanta terminal

when all our commitments were complete.

. Accountabilities included strategic market revenue, cost savings

analysis, planning and implementation of activities to reduce

operating costs.

. Hiring of drivers, mechanics and dispatchers.

. Making sales calls to existing accounts and cold calling new accounts.

. Responsible for P&L and for operating budget.

Valley Blox, Inc. - Harrisonburg, VA 1990-1994. A company consisting of

four divisions - Skyline Building Systems, C.S. Mundy Quarry, Americast and

Valley Block/Building Materials. Fleet size of 260 units. Three

maintenance shops. Operations in Virginia, and West Virginia, making

deliveries in a five state area.
