Manager, Global Transportation and Logistics
Enabled the growth of First Solar from $135M in total revenue in 2006 to over $3 billion in 2013 by
implementing strategic global logistics processes and effective supplier management .
Established the logistics processes to enable shipments in Europe, North America, Australia, South
America, and Middle East.
Cultivated effective relationships with Senior Carrier executives to support the growth in container
volumes from 600 per year to over 12,000 containers per year, generating $6M in annual savings by
contracting directly with ocean carriers for all trade lanes.
Designed and implemented an effective integrated logistics process to support a six plant
manufacturing complex, which yielded a $1.4M annual savings and eliminated traffic congestion
for shipping over 12,000 containers per year.
Selected a 3rd party logistics provider to manage and coordinate inbound and outbound
containers to Malaysia plants, resulting in effective utilization of container movements and
eliminated on-site road congestion.
Managed 3rd party provider for handling of off-site raw material storage and just-in-time
