L-3 Vertex CFT – Camp Marmal, Afghanistan

STRUCTURAL MECHANIC, 8/2012 to present

Perform structural inspection, repair, modifications, phase, and unscheduled maintenance on Apache,

Blackhawk and Chinook helicopters. Provided 12/7 coverage in support of military operations in Afghanistan.

Record structural maintenance procedures. Work IAW technical publications, blueprints, schematics and

engineer special repairs. Fix and replace frames, formers, beams, bulkheads, stringers, intercostal, skins,

longerons, rotor blades, nacelles, fairings, windscreens, stabilators, gussets, and ribs. Remove and replace

aircraft related hardware to include; button head and countersunk aluminum and steel rivets, hi-loks, hi-

shears, hucks, jo-bolts, riv-nuts, grommets, and nut-plates. Replacement and modification of tail rotor

driveshaft supports using field alignment tooling. Repair complex composite repairs on aircraft nacelles and

rotor blades comprised of fiberglass, Kevlar, and carbon fiber.

• Accepted challenge of international experience, with looming end of contract near; taught fellow sheet

metal technicians new repair techniques.

Boeing – Millville, New Jersey

CHINOOK STRUCTURAL MECHANIC, 2010 to 2012

Given the opportunity to take 60-hour course for the 47 Chinook modification project. Tasked with relocation

of Satellite Communication Systems. This included FIP Sensor modification. Installation of heat sensors and

heat blockers. Moved all antennas to accommodate satellite system. Fabricated templates to standardize

the way the new pieces were made, reducing hours on each aircraft. Mounted M4 rifles for pilot, co-pilot and

companionway. Difficult task was accomplished with ease, avoiding damage to sensitive cables. Installed 2

command seats. Work consisted of starting from the ground up, by removing floors and installing reinforced

bases. Removal and reinstall fuel tanks carefully due to extensive work due to possibility of fuel leaks,

contamination and combustible fuels, Replaced sliding rails for doors with improved versions.

• Effective use of templates reduced time necessary time required to fabricate new parts, saving

countless hours on each helicopter modification.

• Accomplished modifications 2 months ahead of schedule, receiving kudos for a job well done from

upper management.

Sikorsky Global Helicopters – Coatesville, Pennsylvania

AIRCRAFT STRUCTURAL MECHANIC TECHNICIAN, 2008 to 2010

Perform structural maintenance on Sikorsky S-76 and tasked with final assembly on Sikorsky S-92 final

assembly. Installed new transmissions, drive shafts, and engines. Installed fairings, doors, and landing

gears.

• Trained 5 night shift technicians on honeycomb composites, increasing the availability of qualified

technicians.

• Recognition for exemplary program support, led to being chosen as 1 of 10 workers to attend and be

part of the team of assemblers for the Sikorsky S-92 Helicopter.

American Composite Inc./ Aircraft Composite Technologies, Inc.– Miami, Florida

STRUCTURAL / COMPOSITE REPAIR TECHNICIAN, 2006 to 2008

Tasked with major levels of maintenance on 700 series Boeing Commercial Airliners for the United States

Government. Repaired components such as cowlings, elevator, stabilators, and panels. Fabrication of

landing gears doors and spoilers from scratch. Replaced flight control skins for corrosion. Flaps and ailerons

were completely reworked for new skins and honeycomb repairs. Injected composites with foam. Repaired
