MANAGER ONLINE COMMUNICATIONS NORFOLK SOUTHERN CORP. 2010 - PRESENT

As the Manager of Online Communications, I am currently responsible for developing the voice and content for all aspects of Norfolk

Southern Corporations online presence. In addition to editing, proofreading and approving site content, I also work in the role of Project

Manager on all current and future web properties. Working closely with the Information Technology department to maintain site

standards with regard to new development is one of the key responsibilities assigned to my position at Norfolk Southern. Additionally, I

am responsible for all visual elements of the Norfolk Southern web brand as well as the development and implementation of our new

corporate website and its governance policy.

WEB DESIGNER, DEVLOPER VISTAGRAPHICS – HAMPTON ROADS MAGAZINE 2009 - 2010

As Hampton Roads Magazines senior web designer, I was responsible for maintaining the content and overall design of the corporate

website and all related websites associated with Hampton Roads Magazine and VistaGraphics Inc. This job required a solid understanding

of both graphic design and web programming.

Duties included, but not limited to, the following:

Writing and editing content, designing web page layout, determining technical requirements, updating websites, creating back up files

and solving code problems.

ON AIR GRAPHIC DESIGNER WAVY TV/WVBT FOX 43 2007 – 2009

At WAVY TV 10 I worked as senior designer in a high paced on air graphic design department using industry standard tools

to create high quality graphic elements for broadcast television. While working with little to no supervision in a fast-paced,

nighttime news room environment, I honed my expertise in software such as Adobe Create Suite Master Collection, Cinema

4d 3d application, Curious World Maps and Avid Adrenalin in order to create industry leading motion and news graphics.

FREELANCE WEB AND GRAPHIC DESIGNER GREYLINE MEDIA 2007 – PRESENT

While operating my freelance design business, I have created over 40 websites on a contract basis for various companies in the cleaning

service industry using multiple tools including WordPress, HTML, Flash and CSS and JavaScript. In implementing these websites I was

responsible for the design and editorial creation from concept to completion. To create a memorable, feature rich web experience for the

end user I would often build web animations using software like Flash, Cinema4d and After Effects.

Also while operating my business, I have worked on a multitude of logo’s and branding campaigns for various local companies as well as

designing printed material and online publications for various clientele.

LARGE FORMAT GRAPHIC DESIGNER SIGN MASTERS 2005 – 2007

At Sign Masters my duties included working in Adobe Creative Suite designing and applying vinyl vehicle wraps and large format signage

for businesses within the Hampton Roads area. I honed my abilities in using large format printers and CAD cutting programs and plotters.

AVIATION STRUCTURAL MECHANIC - HYDRAULICS U.S. NAVY – VF2 1997 – 2001

Performed structural and hydraulic repair on the Grumman F-14 Tomcat.

Completed restoration of naval aircraft by means of corrosion treatment, corrosion prevention and aircraft paint and finish procedures.

Performed occasional installation and removal of aircraft ordnance and egress systems.
