Turbine Facility Noise Reduction – Project Member, September 2013 – May 2014
• Worked with other mechanical engineers on a current university issue to reduce noise generated from UConn’s
own gas turbine engine
• Researched several concepts and developed an efficient way of sound-proofing the existing facility containing the
engine
• Established a way to safely direct the exhaust originated from the engine preventing any potentially hazardous
situations

Renewable Energy Capstone Project – Project Member, August 2012
• Worked with other students focusing on creating a renewable and sustainable energy theme park in Nicaragua
where all aspects of the park generated its own energy and income
• Conducted experiential hands-on site visitations to five commercial scale renewable energy facilities including
geothermal, wind power, biomass, solar and hydroelectric plants
