Email communications between the customers and the bank regarding accounts,
checks, dispute, reward, mortgages, loans etc are moved from Outlook to IBM
Enterprise records for better security, storage and retrieval. The end
users have to fill a metadata form to mark the emails as records and the
emails would move from Outlook to the IBM Enterprise Filenet for storage.
There would be a Records coordinator to admin these activities. Also, the
PST creation and Archive functionality will be disabled for the user. The
only place to store the emails would be the IBM Filenet.

database which is Oracle based. AMTRUST application is built on mainframe
platform which used DB2 database. Currently there are mainframe batched
which extract the data and produces various report. As the migration takes
place, these batches will start to extract data from SunGard's Global Plus.
To make sure that the data is migrated properly and the existing
application works properly without affecting it customer testing is
required.

Project Objective
G-ACH (Global Automated Clearing House) is an electronic method of making
high volume and low value payments at a low cost. It is used for clearing
Direct Debit and Credit Payment transactions. These transactions are sent
through batches and are routed through global pay source. RPS (Receivable
Processing System) is especially designed to receive and process deposits
and Forex Transactions.
FTS (Fund Transfer System) deals with high value and low volume
transactions. It handles approximately 75,000 to 80,000 transactions per
day. It involves credits and payments. FTS sends/receives transactions in
form of Message type as MT100, MT102, MT103, MT202, etc. Also it deals with
online CICS screens & regions.

Project Objective
Lloyds Banking Group has acquired Halifax bank & Bank of Scoltland.This
integration program is to manage the internet banking users of Lloyds
Bank & HBOS (Halifax & Bank of Scotland) post migration. The Internet
banking users log on to their accounts and do some transactions,
registers for alerts or request for new devices etc. All these requests
are processed through mainframes batches. Below are the batch details.
- Letters Batch,SMS Batch, Bulk Payment Batch, Travel Money, MIS
Reports and others
The internet banking customers fall under two categories retail and
commercial. The above batches process both type of customers. Also there
have been a lot of table structure changes in order to accumulate the
branding changes. It was called Data migration testing. The jobs were
developed by DBA team and were system tested.

. Lloyds receives files from VISA, MASTERCARD & LINK containing COC
transactions. BASE II & ASVQ process these transactions.

withdraw, Supervisor mode functions)

The Striving to Achieve Rapid Settlement (STARS) system exists
. To gather and process credit card charges and other monetary
transactions daily involving Discover Financial Services, Incorporated
(DFSI) merchants.
. To correctly pay or invoice Discover Financial Services merchants
through various external mechanisms.
. To prepare internally used reports to track and balance Discover
Financial Services merchants transactions.
. To pass approved Discover cardholder transactions to DFSI Cardholder
Posting and Billing (CPB) systems.
. A CICS-based mainframe process known as Log Edit And Route (LEAR) that
receives logs and edits Merchant transaction batches transmitted
through the Sears Technology Electronic Data Interchange (STEDI) and
GXS, a mainframe CICS application that drives LEAR repeatedly
throughout the day.
. A CICS-based mainframe process known as Settlement Calculation and
Route (SCAR) that calculates Merchant discounts.
. An overnight mainframe batch job stream of approximately 250 jobs that
develops internal DFSI reports and prepares the database environment
for the succeeding day's CICS processing.
