Employment record

I am currently on a forklift training course at Training Express

at Marshgate in Stratton. I have my basic Reach and

Counterbalance licences. This course also entails me studying

and taking Level 2 Warehouse And Storage, as well as Level 2

First Aid and Level 2 Fire Safety and Level 2 Health And Safety.

I am also currently doing various voluntary work, mainly IT

based. This involved going to people's homes and sorting out

Windows, DOS and hardware problems, installing printers,

scanners etc, and general teaching and advice. Recently I was

volunteering at the Swindon Museum Of Computing on Friday

mornings, but had to stop this to do the forklift training.

1989-1991

Access Computer Centre, Swindon College, Victoria Road

After a few months on the course I was moved over into the main

college to train as IT

Support staff, which involved sorting out students and staff

with Windows and other

software, setting up printers and other duties.

1987-1988

Warehouse work at Kemdent Dental Works, Purton. This involves

packing, stock control and sorting out of orders, as well as

driving a counterbalance fork lift to load and unload lorries

and place stock in the warehouse.

1980-1981

Threshold Computer course (passed) at Swindon College, Regent

Circus

This involved placements at WH Smiths (Operating ICL 2960 and

2976 mainframe

computers) and RMCS (programming and operating various types of

mini and

mainframe computers)

1978-1980

Apprentice Electrical/Electronics Craftsman,

Royal Military College Of Science, Shrivenham

The first six months were learning lathes, milling machines and

general metal- and

woodworking skills. Then I was moved over to the electrical

department where I

learned about soldering and other electrical activities. Also I

went to evening classes,

but as I didn't complete the apprenticeship I didn't attain the

qualification.
